B&O Railroad Station
101 Lafayette Avenue, Laurel

City of Laurel National Register properties (not under jurisdiction of the Maryland-Washington Regional District).
Built in 1884 -- The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station at Laurel is a 1-story, Queen Anne-style, hip-and-gable-roof brick station. It was designed by E. Francis Baldwin. It is distinguished by ornately panelled gables, bracketed porch roofs and terra cotta rooftop finials. This station is a rare example of an unaltered Victorian transportation structure, and the sole surviving representative of its type in Prince George's County. Seriously damaged by fire in 1992, it is undergoing restoration.
