The Queen's Game
Maryland Football

Queen Elizabeth II attended the Maryland vs. North Carolina football game on October 19, 1957. Often referred to as the "Queen's Game," the event sparked great excitement at the University of Maryland and in Prince George's County. In the photograph, from left to right, are: President Elkins, Queen Elizabeth II, Governor Theodore H. McKeldin, Mrs. Dorothy Elkins, and Prince Phillip.
